Martin Handsley, the chap who got me started on this “career” as a SQL Server DBA and occasional blogger, is attempting something amazing. He and a colleague are attempting to walk 100 miles in 24 hours along the River Thames footpath. They’re currently near Wallingford (in Oxfordshire), and will be leaving at 10am, aiming to arrive at their office in London for 10am tomorrow.
They are doing this to raise money for Marie Curie Cancer Care, and you can sponsor them at Virgin Money Giving. They’re aiming to raise £10,000 but are still around £4k shy of that total (excluding Gift Aid).
